Peony offers in-person office visits, new and returning and Chinese herbal medicine consultations. There is about a two month waiting period for an in-person new patient office visit. For an herbal consultation, please email Paige directly to set this up. We look forward to supporting your health.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT YOUR FIRST OFFICE VISIT

New patient appointments include a detailed conversation inquiring into the patient’s health history with attention paid to the primary concerns. A personalized acupuncture treatment is created for each patient based on their symptoms and health history. All treatments include cupping, aroma therapy, and sound therapy, unless otherwise requested. Additional techniques like moxibustion and/or electric stimulation may be used as well.

The number and frequency of follow-up treatments is based on the severity and history of the condition, which will be explained as part of the treatment plan. Also, as a part of the treatment plan, Chinese herbs may be recommended.

New patient forms will be sent to you through our online scheduler. Please fill out before your first appointment.

BILLING

Time of Service Fees:

  • First Office Visit: $225, 1 hour and 45 minutes

  • Return Office Visit: $175, 1 hour and 15 minutes

Peony bills insurance for in-network plans and Personal Injury Protection (PIP) car insurance plans.

 In-network provider status is with:
 Regence, Premera, and Kaiser Permanente PPO and HMO (As of January, 2024, Peony will be out-of-network with Premera). 

Most out-of-network plans provide partial or full coverage. For out-of-network patients, we will provide a SuperBill to submit to your insurance.  To find out how much your insurance covers an acupuncture service, call your insurance company and use this INSURANCE VERIFICATION FORM as a guide. Please bring this form and your insurance with you to your first visit.

Cancellation and No Show Fee:

Late cancellation fee is $100 if given within a 48 hour time period. No show fee is $175. No fee will be charged if cancellations are made with more than 48 hours notice. We will waive this fee in the event of an emergency.
