About Paige

Paige Barnes is an East Asian medicine practitioner, dance artist, and founder of Peony, where she blends acupuncture, herbal medicine, and creative practices to support holistic healing. Prior to Chinese medicine, she taught the GYROTONIC® Method for 15 years, training under Master Trainer Magali Messac. With an MS in East Asian Medicine from Bastyr University and additional studies under Dr. Sabine Wilms and Dr. Edward Neal, Barnes also serves as an associate teacher at Dr. Neal's Neijing Nature-Based Medicine School, integrating nature-based principles into her care.

Through personalized care, retreats, and performances, Barnes creates a nurturing space for self-discovery and healing. Her approach fosters trust in the body's innate healing process while cultivating a deep connection to the natural world.

Paige is kind, gentle, curious, and has a great sense of humor. She infuses her practice with the beautiful sense of timing, touch, and space I feel I’ve seen in her dance and choreography. She feels like a collaborator in creating health. There’s a way I feel like my body is a garden in her practice and she is an expert gardener. She sees me through time and space, with a mind on seasonal and personal cycles. Her practice space is also wonderful - like a cocoon, but also like a sailboat - it feels both open and safe - which is the feeling she brings long-distance or close-up. Highly, highly recommend Peony Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine.
